About
The feeling comes first.
Escaped Creation is a music project writing in Punjabi, Hindi and Hinglish. It has no house style, and the absence of one is the closest thing to a plan. The catalogue grows in whatever direction the next song points, which means it changes register more often than it repeats itself.
A sufi ghazal about separation sits next to a drill track about street racing. A folk song steeped in virah, the ache of being apart, shares a shelf with synthwave that sounds beamed in from 1994. The videos are just as unalike.
AI is part of how these songs get made, and always has been. It is one more instrument in the room, and the ear still decides.
What the project is after is a line that lands in the language your heart argues in, and a melody that finds you mid-feeling and stays. Songs that do that get released. The rest wait, sometimes for a long time.
